Common Fit Issues
Issue: I'm in between cups B cups are too small but C cups are too large.
Solution: You're not alone! Click on the Playtex® bra links at the top of this page to view either the Half Sizes Too™ or Thank Goodness It Fits® bra collections. Both of these brands were created specifically to fit women whose proportions fall in between standard cup sizes. Another possibility may be a lightly lined bra style, a solution many women use when their breasts are slightly too small for a given cup size. To find a lightly lined bra, use the Playtex Style Finder on the left. Mouse over the word "Lining," then select "Lightly Lined."
Issue: I'm small busted and need more definition.
Solution: Playtex® bras can offer several fit solutions to can give you added shaping.
- Try the Thank Goodness It Fits® Delightful Dots Underwire bra, style #4018 in a nearly C size. Its underwire and level of padding combine to provide great shaping and extra lift perfect for lower necklines!
- A seamless add-a-size bra gives you a smooth look and adds a full cup size. Consider the Thank Goodness It Fits® Add-A-Size Wire Free bra, style #4436, which uses fully padded fiberfill cups.
- For less padding without wires, try a lightly lined bra such as the Thank Goodness It Fits® Delightful Dots Wire free bra, style #4021. In addition to this style, all Playtex® bra brands offer one or more styles with lightly lined cups. To find one in your size, use the Playtex Style Finder on the left. Issue: My breasts seem to be spilling out over the cup. My bra cups feel like they're cutting into my skin.
Solution: Your cup size may be too small. Try a bra with more coverage.
Issue: My bra rides up in the back.
Solution: There are three possible solutions you should try:
- Try a smaller band size, a 36 instead of a 38, for example.
- Check your straps have you adjusted them too tightly?
- Try fastening your hooks on a tighter position.
Issue: My skin looks red and feels irritated.
Solution: Your bra is probably too small. Try a larger cup and/or band size.
Issue: My breasts are slightly different sizes and my silhouette looks uneven.
Solution: Try a lightly lined bra style, which can even out differences between smaller and larger breasts. All Playtex® bra collections offer one or more lightly lined styles. Issue: My straps are falling down.
Solution: Make sure your cup size isn't too large and purchase bras with adjustable straps. Also, look for Playtex® bras with Stop the Slip® straps. You can find styles with this feature quickly and easily by typing "stop the slip" in the "Search by Keyword" box on the left.
Issue: I see wrinkles underneath my shirt.
Solution: Your cup size may be too large. Try a smaller one. Also, try using the Playtex Style Finder on the left to find seamless bras, which will eliminate the possibility that cup seams are showing through. Tip: Mouse over the word "Appearance," then select "Seamless."
Issue: My nipples are showing through my clothing
